Welcome to Scott Country International, the UK's leading specialist in night vision and thermal imaging.
A thermal imaging drone is designed for aerial surveys, such as thermal wildlife surveys, thermal deer counts or for wildlife ecology.
Thermal drones are perfect for scanning large areas of ground for heat signatures, which could come in very useful for police and search and rescue, as the drone can see a large area from an elevated position allowing emergency services to identify thermal subjects at distance.
While human eyesight relies on visible light to see, thermal vision is based on infrared energy, known as a heat signature. The warmer an object is, the more infrared energy it emits. The modern thermal imager detects infrared radiation and uses computer algorithms to render the heat signature into an image on the display. These cameras are attached to drones and UAV's allowing you to use this technology at elevated observation.
Thermal imaging is beneficial in many outdoor applications, as diverse as wildlife observation, wildlife surveys, hunting, pest control, security and surveillance. With thermal vision, you can see any heat source clearly when ocular visibility is low and in conditions where traditional night vision is blocked, such as poor weather or dense foliage.
